Continuous Sponge Cleaning Machine

The continuous sponge cleaning machine provides a huge improvement in technology over traditional cleaning methods. It is a petrol driven machine.

Clean water is put into the basin, then the machine is pushed over the surface of the stone elements. There is no need to clean the surface by spraying excess water - thus reducing the risk of overhydration.

The excess water that has been vibrated out of the joints by the vibrating roller is transferred by the continuous sponge into the basin. The basins can actually fill up with water during the cleaning cycles. This water can be filtered and reused.

Any residual mortar that is on the surface of the stone elements is also transferred by the continuous sponge into the basin. This can be separated for off site disposal.

The continuous sponge provides a regular and repeatable profile to the surface of the joint whilst it is cleaning. Installers do not need to spend time pointing the joints to provide an acceptable finish.

The continuous sponge cleaning machine produces the best finish available on the market. The natural stone surfaces are free of mortar, and the joints have a regular appearance. Contamination of drainage systems is minimised due to off site disposal methods.

The cleaning machine allows operatives to be far more productive.
